9. Scholarships for housing costs or course fee
Scholarships from the other music e.V. are to help participants with financial need take part in the Yiddish Summer Weimar workshops. Scholarships are given exclusively for the time of the workshops. Participation in more than one workshop does not guarantee a scholarship for the complete period of all attended workshops.
Interested participants can apply for a scholarship. As the scholarship is intended for participants with financial need, the other music e.V. requires documentary evidence of the financial situation of the applicant. In addition, please attach a short description of why you wish to attend Yiddish Summer and how a scholarship will help you.
Scholarships are awarded according to the budget of the other music e.V., the financial situation of the applicant, and the order the application is received. The application must be received in the other music e.V. office by June 15th, 2011. A submitted scholarship application entails no legal claim to a scholarship award. The board of the other music e.V. will decide on the award of all scholarship monies, with notification to all recipients by June 20th, 2011.
By accepting a scholarship, the participant agrees to assist with certain logistical and organizational tasks during Yiddish Summer which will be determined by the organizational team. All questions concerning scholarship awards can be sent to registration@othermusic.eu.
