(b. 1973, Berlin) studied Yiddish and German Literature at Trier University and graduated in Literature, Drama and Ethnomusicology at Freie Universitaet Berlin. He has been a student at Ernst Busch drama school, and as an actor worked with Robert Wilson amongst others.
Schnedler studied Yiddish song and dance at festivals in Oxford, Brussels, Weimar, Krakow and New York, and taught Yiddish song at Klezkanada and Yiddish Summer Weimar. Together with Franka Lampe (accordion) he founded the duo Schikker wi Lot in 2002, with his band Fayvish he enriches a new genre of Yiddish music (Yiddpop) since 2007.
Fabian Schnedler worked as a referent for the educational department of the Jewish Museum Berlin, and is currently an academic trainee in the museum's special exhibition departement.
